Philadelphia Mayoral Inaugural Celebration-2008 Scott Mirkin is represented Nationally, by the Group Incorporated Production Consortium, (GIPC), and through this affiliation, was part of the Team of Executive Producers of Philadelphia’s New Mayor, Michael A. Nutter’s Inaugural Celebration. Scott’s responsibilities included the assembly and oversight of the 20 person production staff, production design, labor negotiations, vendor selection and the conversion of the 30,000 square foot Cruise Terminal, into “Philadelphia Realized” The Inaugural Celebration. This event featured local cuisine from over a dozen restaurants, and featured performances from many of Philadelphia’s music, arts and cultural groups. The event was a complete success, and proceeds of the Inaugural were donated to charity.

Rendell Knoll Inauguration 2007 Scott Mirkin joined with GIPC as one of three Executive Producers for the second Inaugural of Governor Edward G. Rendell of Pennsylvania. Leading a team of over 30 production professionals, Scott oversaw all production, operations, logistics, media services, and talent for the three official events of the Inaugural: the Official Swearing-In Ceremony, Celebration of the Arts, and the Inaugural Gala Concert and Ball. Mirkin oversaw site selection, planning and scheduling the conversion of the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex into the Inaugural Gala and Ball, as well as, the production and broadcast of the Inaugural events. Scott worked along side of the Executive Director of the Rendell Inaugural Committee, executing the wishes of the Committee and the Governor. Jenny Woo and Kara Givnish were Production Coordinators . taking care of countless details from talent travel and logistics to crew meals to vendor contracting. Receiving high regional media coverage and national media coverage, the Inaugural events celebrated the work of the Governor over his last term and built excitement and further support for his new term.

Tug McGraw Foundation Gala 2006 As one of the largest philanthropic events of the year in Philadelphia, local and national celebrities came out to help raise money and awareness for the Tug McGraw Foundation. ESM transformed the Crystal Tea Room in the Historic Wanamaker Building into a spectacular gala with a multitude of delights for the guests including receptions, Texas Hold’Em Poker, silent and live auctions, as well as the live stage show with musical performances, award presentations, a video premiere and more. ESM Productions produced all aspects of this event including the stage, lighting, and AV design, video production, talent, show, poker, and coordination of all details that made this event a true success.

Gamesa When Gamesa, the international wind turbine manufacturing company, was ready to launch their first US facility in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, ESM was ready and more than capable to take on the Press Conference. With Gamesa’s top executives, Governor Ed Rendell, and other regional politicians in attendance, ESM produced a very successful press conference and facilities tour. The press conference took place in one of the manufacturing plants, which presented some challenges that ESM was excited to take on. They used their creativity to make the site the perfect location for this press conference to take place and repeated that at another Gamesa site in western Pennsylvania three months later.

American Eagle Outfitters Scott Mirkin is a represented by GIPC, a consortium of nation’s top 25 event producers, and through which ESM has collaborated on a number of projects with GIPC. ESM partnered with GIPC to produce American Eagle Outfitters Fashion Show for their back-to-school line launch. Scott was both the Line Producer and one of the three Executive Producers. He had many responsibilities from budget management to overseeing the set build to crew management. Both Jenny Woo and Kara Givnish were part of the production team, seeing to many details including talent and staff travel and onsite logistics as well as vendor contracting. This was the second year Scott Produced this event, and will be one of the Producers again this summer.

Sunoco Welcome America - Arts on the Ave An evening under the city lights of Avenue of the Arts was accompanied by a wide variety of Philadelphian musicians and artists, celebrating our nation’s birthplace. Three stages with constant live music and a wide array of arts and crafts booths together entertained over 20,000 people on Broad Street. The stage, lighting and AV design, event schedule, show production, and talent casting was executed by ESM.

2005 Rock The Vote Awards Through GIPC, Scott and the ESM team were tasked with the production of the 2005 Rock the Vote Awards, held in Washington DC. This was the 15th annual awards event for this great organization. This event included many major political officials, as well as appearances by MYA, Randy Jackson, Black Eyed Peas, Amber Tabmlin, Regina Spektor, and Nikka Costa. This national event was televised, and broadcast on XM Radio.

Toll Brothers Naval Square 2005 ESM Productions crafted the texture that made the Toll Brothers’ Grand Opening Event for Naval Square a historic occasion. Scott conceived the idea for Toll Brothers to include a dedication of Naval Square to US Service men and women at their grand opening celebration of the high-end residential community on the Naval Home property, a National Historic Landmark, in Philadelphia. From the overall texture of the event, to staging and lighting, to the extensive event logistics, ESM delivered an event that Toll Brothers was incredibly proud of and that resulted in favorable TV and print coverage. |

Cancer Treatment Centers of America ESM Productions was commissioned to conceive and design a “First Class” Launch event for this nationally renowned institution. This was to be Cancer Treatment Center’s of America’s entry into the Northeast Region of the US. ESM duties included, event footprint design, media logistics planning, hospitality, a/v systems design, and development of a rain plan, which was executed at 4am on the day of the event. This Event earned ESM a letter of congratulations from CTCA’s Chairman. |

Phillies Citizens’ Bank Park When it was time to announce the building of a new ballpark, The Philadelphia Phillies turned to ESM Productions to aide them in all aspects of this piece of history in the making. ESM produced numerous large-scale press events throughout a three-year campaign prior to the opening of the new ballpark. The visual impact design, press management, lighting, sound, and staging for all events were handled by ESM. The events included an unveiling ceremony for both a model of the ballpark and the first foul-ball pole, as well as the groundbreaking and the “Topping Off” ceremonies. All events led up to the large-scale “Naming Rights Ceremony,” which Scott designed. Citizens Bank and The Phillies entrusted ESM with the design and production of major events that represented each corporation across the nation. |

Veterans Stadium Implosion As Citizens Bank Park approached completion, the time came to say goodbye to Veteran’s Stadium. The Phillies knew who they could rely on to capture this notable event. ESM designed the “television look,” provided press management, lighting, sound, staging, and a pool video feed for the Pre-Implosion Ceremony and the Implosion of Veterans’ Stadium. ESM choose ideal camera locations, both inside and around the stadium, that were consistent with the demolition regulations. A viewing area was designed and built by ESM where 3,000 individuals and 300 press personnel were located. ESM provided the press with the pool video feed from the strategically placed cameras. Much planning, organizing and coordinating went in to the preparation of the 48-hour set up and execution. ESM presented the world with a glimpse into the end of a Philadelphian era. |

Election Night 2004 with John Kerry and John Edwards Scott Mirkin is represented as one of the nation’s most talented event professionals by Group Incorporated Production Consortium, through which he was chosen to produce Election Night 2004 with John Kerry and John Edwards. Scott was one of the lead producers on this official event for the Democratic National Committee. His responsibilities were to oversee a production team of 30 people, prepare budgets and schedules for the Executive Producer, secure national talent, and interface with the Mayor’s representatives from the city of Boston. Scott also executed the wishes of the Candidate and the DNC as it related to the production of the event, media logistics and the interaction with local and national officials. |

Rendell Knoll Inaugural Ball 2003 ESM Productions was responsible for the complete design and execution of the Rendell/Knoll Inaugural Ball. Scott represented the Executive Producer at the planning meetings with the Governor-Elect staff for both the Inaugural Ceremony and Ball. The Inaugural Ball was staged in the 176,000 square foot PA Farm Show Complex. More that 9,000 people attended this complex technical event that had more that 1,000 lights, 2,200 feet of drape, seven miles of cable, and more than 300 people working to set it up and take it down. The 36-hour build resulted in a successful and memorable event that was highly covered by the press and broadcast live on TV. |

Official Presidential Events ESM has been called on several times to assist the White House Communications Agency, (WHCA) and the Executive Office of the President, (EOP) in the staging and production of Official Presidential Events and Addresses. These events are often complex, with a unique set of logistical challenges, and extremely short lead-time. ESM Productions’ ability to react and perform to the highest standards of strategic communications, has earned our team several commendations from WHCA. These events have all been broadcast worldwide. |

Mid-Atlantic Venture Conference For seven years, ESM has produced the Mid-Atlantic Venture Conference for the Greater Philadelphia Venture Group. With the help of ESM, the GPVG has expanded a small Philadelphia conference to the largest venture capitalist conference in the Mid-Atlantic. The MAVC showcases the best young companies in the Mid-Atlantic region and provides these companies with incomparable exposure to the region's top venture capitalists and private equity investors. The ESM team designed a system in which presenting companies could migrate from the outdated analog presentations to a web-based, high-tech, cutting-edge delivery of content. Incorporating numerous company presentations, guest speakers, and entertainment, ESM gives the GPVG the conference they desire year after year.

Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, Major Events The first client of ESM Productions in 1996 was the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce. Since that time, Scott and the ESM team have played an active roll in many GPCC initiatives and programs. We are particularly honored to continue to serve the Chamber by working with them on their signature events, including the Annual Meeting, Mayoral Luncheon, Paradigm Award, and Small Business Awards. ESM provides the Chamber with production design and execution services, including lighting, staging, and digital cinema production. When the Chamber needs to communicate its initiatives and message to the corporate community and the media, ESM productions is part if the Chamber’s team.

City of Philadelphia ESM Productions is often called upon by the City of Philadelphia to design, and produce events that serve as communications tools, as well as for the development of meaningful dialogue, and results. The Technology Showcase was the launch of the “Wireless Philadelphia Strategy”, providing the public and the media a first hand look at all of the technologies now being employed by the city of Philadelphia, including a Brand New Web Site, GIS systems, and WIFI plans. The 21st Century Economic Development Summit executed the Mayor’s vision to assemble the City’s Business and Civic leaders, interact in a meaningful way, to develop what has become the Economic Development Blue Print for Philadelphia in the 21st Century. Many of the initiatives that came out of that summit are well underway. ESM Productions Role in this event was to design a unique, high tech atmosphere in this non-traditional space. Create and Event theme, and produce all of the multi-media components to support this summit, as well as the press conference portion.
