For the first time in history, The City of Philadelphia decided to host a New Years Eve party to kick off the 250th anniversary. Executive Producer, Scott Mirkin stepped up to execute the vision for the free concert happening at Benjamin Franklin Parkway at Eakins Oval.
Approximately 10,000 Philadelphians attended the party and enjoyed performances such as: DJ Jazzy Jeff, Dorothy, Adam Blackstone and the main event, LL Cool J. The crowd got to experience an exhilarating countdown and incredible firework show.
The live event was broadcasted on NBC10 and Telemundo 62, as well as KYW News Radio. The successful New Years Eve concert is expected 20,000 participants at the next one.
